## Applications
- Brewing & Wort Filtration: Hydrolyses barley β-glucans that elevate wort viscosity above 2.0 cP, slowing lautering and blocking filters. Supports high-adjunct grists and faster runoff in commercial brewing.
- Poultry & Swine Feed: Degrades viscous β-glucans in barley and oat rations that hinder flow and consistency. Typical 50–100 g/ton dose helps feed formulators maintain pellet quality and process efficiency.
- Winemaking — Botrytis Glucans: Cleaves Botrytis-derived β-1,3 glucans that obstruct cross-flow and pad filtration. Dose 30–80 g/hL trialled post-ferment to restore filtration throughput.
- Beta-Glucan Oligosaccharides: Uses controlled hydrolysis for low-DP β-glucan oligosaccharide output from cereals. Applicable in functional ingredient development and process-scale oligosaccharide manufacture.
- Grain & Oat Processing: Decreases slurry viscosity in oat and barley extraction systems, improving pumping, filtration rate, and extract yield in beverage and cereal processing plants.
- Barley / Oat Ethanol: Reduces mash viscosity in fuel ethanol production enabling higher dry solids without cavitation. Often paired with α-amylase in liquefaction sections.
